Michael BockletDirector of Operations, DSM of Westchester
Mike Bocklet made history in June of 2014 when he was named the first men’s lacrosse coach in Purchase College history.
Bocklet spent two seasons at Dartmouth as the top assistant and offensive coordinator of the men’s lacrosse team. In 2014, the Big Green faced seven teams that finished in the top 20 in the NCAA rankings and still averaged an impressive 8.3 goals per game and 37.5 shots per game, both improvements from the previous year.
Bocklet joined the Dartmouth staff after a highly successful run as the top assistant coach for the men’s lacrosse team at SUNY Cortland, where he received his Master’s in Childhood Education. During his two-year tenure, the team produced a dominant 37-4 record, played in the 2012 NCAA Division III national championship game and achieved the first undefeated regular season in program history.
At Cortland, Bocklet guided the league’s top-ranked offense. In 2012, the Red Dragons averaged 11.7 goals per game and 40.1 shots per game and scored on 38 percent of its man-up opportunities. That same year, Bocklet mentored the SUNYAC Player of the Year and offensive first, second and third team All-Americans.
Prior to his stint at Cortland, Bocklet was an assistant coach at John Jay High School in Cross River, N.Y., for one season. He helped the squad to an 18-2 record and Class B Section 1 crown.
Bocklet graduated Fairfield University with a bachelor’s degree in communications after starting all four seasons for the Stags’ attack. During his senior season, Bocklet was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List and competed in the prestigious USILA North-South game. A two-time All-New England and All-GWLL honoree, he left Fairfield fourth on the school’s all-time points list.
Bocklet resides in Cross River, NY with his wife and daughter.
